Chapter 13:
Users and Their Permissions
So far, we have focused on building functionality. Although we have
introduced new permissions where appropriate, we have not yet
considered user and role management in detail. It is now time to
define exactly who can do what, when.
We will begin this chapter by defining a membership policy for our
application. We will also show how to attach additional metadata to
a user and look at configuring an area of a Plone site to support
collaboration. Finally, we will point to a few more advanced
technologies that may be appropriate if the built-in infrastructure
cannot meet your needs.
